About Acupressure
Acupressure is a traditional Chinese Medicine therapy that has been in use for at least 3000 years. Using hands rather than needles, acupressure is a method of sending a signal to the body to turn on its own self-healing or regulatory mechanisms.
Normally, Qi (vital energy) circulates through natural pathways in the body called meridians. Blockage of this flow or an imbalance in yin and yang can cause illness and pain. Acupressure helps to correct functional imbalances and restore the flow, thus returning the body to a more natural state of well-being.

About Amy's Work
Amy's subtle yet powerful work supports animals of all ages to live as vibrantly as possible. Each session is a combination of acupressure and other techniques that can benefit animals who suffer from pain, anxiety, old injuries, and many chronic diseases. This calm and gentle work is particularly helpful for older animals as they experience age-related issues such as senility, incontinence, and hind-end weakness, creating ease and helping them to enjoy a better quality of life.
Amy has focused her training on modalities that support the body to heal itself. Her education includes certification and coursework with the Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute, Tellington Touch with Linda Tellington-Jones and Osteopathy and Cranial Sacral techniques with Patricia Kortekaas of Full Spectrum Canine Therapy.
